"I have been to lots of milongas and as a venue Eton is the best”
" Milongas at Eton are always good ... last night was fantastic."
"what a great night it was last night. I had some terrific dances and a smashing atmosphere. I had such a good time and couldnt get to sleep for ages!"
"Having read that the Eton milongas music policy had changed and having
heard good reports about the results, at the start of this month I went along to the Eton milonga at Baldwin Hall. The music I heard was 100% tango, vals and milonga, most of it Golden Age and most of that
traditional i.e. the kind of music traditionally played for dancing in
milongas. Charles and his team put on a fine event, the floor was full
without being rough, and much enjoyment was had by all to whom I spoke."
"Everything comes together here - great venue; great presentation and comfort; ... great crowd - friendly, relaxed and chatty; and the best floorcraft in or around London."

Music selection
The choice of music makes all the difference at a Milonga, so we pay particular attention to this at the Eton Milongas. You can expect a rich variety of the very best traditional Tango, Milonga and Vals played in structured Tandas. The music is selected with loving care; each and every track is chosen for being wonderful for dancing, and the selection is adjusted constantly to suit what’s happening on the dance floor. If you like dancing to more modern mix of music then try our "Junction 8" milongas.
Floorcraft & etiquette
At our dance nights all dancers are expected to respect the best standards of floorcraft and consideration for other dancers. This helps everyone to enjoy an evening of pleasant dancing. Please follow these guidelines:
Please do: |
|
Keep a constant flow of movement around the dance floor. Dance in a constant lane around the dance floor, never the middle. |
|
Please don't: |
|
Step or travel against the line of dance. Teach each other steps. Stand or sit obstructing the dance floor.
