Autumn Tango is 3 days of Tango dancing and lessons with our special guest teachers: Melina Sedó & Detlef Engel on 22nd, 23rd & 24th October 2010.
Melina & Detlef - are one of very few German Tango couples with an international reputation. They've been teaching all over Europe and the US for the last few years and have performed in numerous Festivals. In addition to that they've been invited to perform in some of the most renowned Milongas in Buenos Aires. Their philosophy is that Tango is walking in an embrace.They dance close-embrace Tango with a very personal touch. Their dance stays close to the roots of the traditional Tango de Salón. At the core of their lessons, which are always geared towards improvisational capability, are intensive body work and analysis of tango´s structures. But “technical” understanding is just a means to concentrate better on developing your own style in unison with the music.
The lessons are designed for dancers with suitable experience and ability; as a guide, at least 3 years regular lessons and practice is required. The numbers of leaders and followers for the Autumn Tango group lessons is balanced to ensure the quality of the lessons, so we ask you to book with a dance partner (we keep a list of dancers seeking a partner to book for the event).
