On your marks….

By April 18, 2019News

Eastonathon starts tomorrow – one of our best Tango events of the year. Four days of dancing and fun!

It’s been months in the making; sorting out the venue, checking out DJs and recruiting the good ones, dealing with enquiries and advance bookings, and making cakes for days on end.

But it’ll all be worthwhile on Friday when the doors open and we welcome the first dancers. People travel from all corners of the UK, from Europe, and America, to come and over the years they’ve become very good friends. There are huge smiles as they walk in the doors and hugs all round as we see friends again for the first time in months.

Tango starts with the dancing, but most of all it’s about friendship and coming together to share a special weekend.

Bring it on!

  • Seduced by the post-Christmas Etonathon, Stephanie and I booked again for the Eastonathon, and are so pleased we did. Charles Long and Sarah Stribley are two of the best organisers in the UK, with their milongas focussing on ‘Golden Age’ tango uninterrupted by performances, announcements, salsa or jive, and attracting some of the best tangueros as a result. Eastonathon was seamless tango joy with great music at a delightful location. Congratulations both on creating a little of Buenos Aires in Old Windsor. We look forward to your next event; and of course, the cake!
